Dear Veronika,

I thought of you today, as I was performing some calculations; you are the second woman to influence me as such.  I found myself caught in a flurry of fantasy that my work might have impressed you (if you saw it on Twitter). In-case you have not seen it, I’ll explain what I did this morning:  I don’t believe that the rocket launch and capture by SpaceX on October 13, 2024 actually occurred.  With the original specifications, that being, Raptor 2 engines and a dry booster weight of 100000 kg, there would have been too much thrust to land the booster.  Then, later this day, I read from the same source that the engines were Raptor 1 and the booster was 275000 kg which is the perfect combination for the landing, however, the reported maximum mass of the booster (fully loaded) is 3.675 million kg which is about 1 million kg heavier than what I calculate its maximum payload to be with the Raptor 1 engine.

So to recap!  This morning the reported booster dry mass was 100000 kg and the engines used were Raptor 2 engines, in this configuration the booster can lift the full payload but can’t land;  Later in the morning the dry mass was changed to 275000 kg and the engine used was the Raptor 1, in this configuration the booster can land but it can’t lift the maximum payload.  I think SpaceX fudged their numbers to support an event that never happened - only time will tell; One way to know for sure is to determine if there was any law enforcement such as FBI present at the launch and landing, if there is no record of police involvement then there was no event.  Have a great day Veronika, work hard, eat plenty and be merry!

Your enchanted,
